How can I buy your products?

You can purchase items directly through the Shop page when they are available. As I am the sole designer and producer of these items, and most of them are entirely hand made, availability is limited and items sell out quickly. This also means that most items will not be available at the same time. In order to follow what items will be available and when, please follow the Can of Beams facebook page, and instagram pages, as updates and sale announcements are posted there first.

How can I contact you?

You can reach me through the canofbeams.com social network pages on facebook and instagram, or at canofbeamssales@gmail.com.
However, you should not contact me before checking to see if the answer to your question is here on the website. If you do contact me, be mindful that I live in California and that there might be a large discrepancy between our time zones. So, please don’t spam messages at 3 in the morning my time and then again when I haven’t answered an hour later. Also, expect slow response time when messaging me on weekend and nights (my time).
If you are contacting me about an order, please include the order number and name on the order in your first message. I can’t do anything for you without both of those.

Do you accept commissions?

Short answer, no. Long answer, rarely, but only if I have the time available and the project is of interest to me. It takes me quite a lot of time to keep up with general production, so it’s very difficult to take on commissions on top of that.

Can I buy something that isn’t currently on the shop?

No, as that means I have none of the item on hand, but you can follow the Can of Beams Instagram and facebook pages to be notified when I have more available.

Stuff sell out too fast, how can I get your stuff when it sells out that fast?

Most items that are not made to order items sell out quickly, some in less than five minutes, the majority in less than half an hour. The best way to get these items when they do go up is follow the Can of Beams social media pages, as I announce, to the minute, when items will go up for sale. In most cases, if you are ready to go when the sale starts then you will get what you are after. There are people who are ready to go every time and get what they want every time, and there are people who show up an hour or more later and keep missing out, so this method works. To save extra time, log in to paypal before the sale start time.

I bought what I wanted, but I bought them in separate orders, can I combine them?

Try not to do this, but if you do, you’ll have to email me with your order numbers in order for me to make a note to combine your orders into one shipment. I have to do this manually and refund the difference, so I’m going to keep $1 of the refunded excess shipping for the time.
Do not expect me to notice your multiple orders myself. I won’t.

I got my shipping info a couple days ago, but it hasn’t shown up yet at USPS, why?

Since I have to build, check, and pack all of these items myself, and orders come in large waves, it usually takes me a few days to pack and deliver all the boxes to the post office. If I could do all that faster, I would, but the average quantity of boxes going out during one of these waves is in the 3 digit range, so it takes me a while to make sure everything is handled correctly.

I live outside the United States and my package hasn’t arrived yet, why?

If you live outside of the United States and your package has not arrived yet, make sure you wait at least 28 days from first tracking notice to message me about it. International shipping takes a while, and it takes a lot longer for some places than others, and I have really no control over that whatsoever.

Why are my Model M MultiBases brown?

They aren’t brown, that’s a protective paper to prevent scratching during shipping and handling. You can peel it off.

My item didn’t come with a stand, where is the stand?

Nothing I sell comes with a stand arm. I do not produce stand arms and I cannot source them in any reasonable manner, so I instead make my items that work with stand arms to be compatible with commonly found stand brands. Every item description for an item that uses stand arms or is compatible with them says that the stand arm is not included.

I bought an item, how do I use it?

If you find that you do not know how an item works, like a flight stand adapter, do two things before contacting me.
First, check canofbeams.com/instructions to see if there is a demonstration there.
Second, check the items description on its page in the shop.
